Murals: Indoors

  • In celebration of Hanukkah, BXP featured the luminous print Candy Candelabra by AFH teen artist Tiesha Semedo in the windows of the Prudential Center. Tiesha created the original piece in our Printmaking Studio. It was then handed off to our Photography Studio to shoot in parts at high-res and then meticulously stitch back together for it to scale onto the huge windows of the Prudential Center. This special holiday display, enjoyed by both passersby on the street and those walking its interior, stemmed from our ongoing partnership with BXP. In particular, the current digital exhibition featuring AFH teens’ artwork throughout the Pru’s interior each month.

  • AFH collaborated with the legendary multi-media artist David Byrne to create a mural along a 120' meandering wall that flanks the interior public passageway from W 1st St. to W. 2nd St. in South Boston. Based on a sketch Byrne provided, the AFH team designed and painted the bucolic landscape to serve as the canvas for his signature drawings. The result—Imagination Over Reality—a mural that invites the public to imagine the impossible! Our Photography and Video Production studios captured the process from beginning to end, sharing this unlikely partnership—between a developer, a nonprofit and a rock icon—creating a whole lot of good!

  • Commissioned by the law firm Foley Hoag, AFH created the exhibition The Art of Change—a series of five 4'x5' paintings, created in dialogue with Foley Hoag's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. Works depict seminal social and literary activists whose commitments mirrored the clients' legal efforts on behalf of those striving for a more equitable society. Accompanied by a graphic installation, the commissioned paintings are exhibited along a prominent hallway at the entrance to the law firm. The inclusion of a video of the exhibition's making created by our Video Production Studio extends both the reach and the story of the partnership.
